Visiting Sharing Hope Farm
Sharing Hope Farm is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code), including for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt under said section. The corporation’s primary activities focus on agricultural programs to develop, improve, and support farming, food production, and related community benefits related to food security.
Programs
Youth Access
Operating a working farm to provide agricultural production facilities and hands-on access for youth participating in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) programs in Erie and Lorain Counties. This includes supplying land, greenhouse, field spaces, access and resources for raising animals, and growing vegetables as part of fair projects and agricultural education.
farm Experiences
There is a healing power in the farm environment for youth and people with disabilities, the simple act of tending to a greenhouse or bonding with an animal can be transformative. These “green care” practices provide a therapeutic space where those with autism or ADHD can thrive through hands-on learning and animal connection.
Special Programs
Speakers: We host a monthly special guest at the farm to educate in interesting areas of sustainable farming or animal husbandry.

neurodiverse Youth
Farm-based interventions, including horticultural activities like plant cultivation and animal-assisted therapy, offer significant therapeutic advantages for neurodivergent individuals and those with intellectual disabilities. Often referred to as “green care” or “care farming,” these structured programs support the developmental and emotional well-being of youth with ASD, ADHD, and other various disabilities.
